You just walked past a regular canal house. Or is it? Sure looks like one - wooden door, narrow front, just like all the rest. But climb three floors up and the whole top is a Catholic Church. Pews, altar, organ, the whole shebang. It's been there since 1663. Catholics weren't allowed to worship publicly back then, so they had to hide in plain sight. People came up those stairs every Sunday for over two centuries. It's still there. You can go. It's only open until 18:00 though!
